As many of you are aware, Fort Southwest Point will soon become one of the newest Tennessee State Parks. Many have graciously loaned or donated items for display either in the Museum or in the fort. As we continue with this transition from City Park to State Park, we at Fort Southwest Point are required to do an accounting of these loaned or donated items.
If in the past you loaned an item to the Fort/Museum and would like it to be returned, you must come to the Fort with proper ID and documentation describing the item and when it was loaned. After verification, the item will be happily returned to you.
If you have loaned an item(s) and wish to go ahead and donate the item to the Fort/Museum, then again, come to the Fort and complete a donation form. This form will describe the item and contain a release of claim statement that you will sign.
If you have donated an item in the past, but have no documentation of that donation, please come to the Fort and a donation statement will be completed for you.
